Breed Critique :

A very large,strong,substantial dog of very good type and very good overall construction. high withers, firm back, well moulded slightly short croup. Very good fore, slightly deep chest development. Very good underline. Very good fore and hindquarter angulations. Stands correct in front with very strong masculine head, good ear carriage and dark eye colour. Moves correct both front and rear, the hock joints could be firmer, very good elbow connections. In movement shows very good ground covering gait with good forehand reach, strong hindquarter drive and very good back transmission. He carries the tail in a raised position. Sound temperament, good natured and is gun sure.

Faults and Virtues :

Standing on the upper limit of size, a dog of very good anatomical construction with maximum depth of chest. During movement a slightly raised tail spoils the picture.

Breeding Advice :

Suitable for bitches requiring improvement in colour, pigmentation and sex characteristics. To consolidate his normal elbow result only suitable for bitches with normal elbows and with a very good family history of above average elbow results.
