Breed Critique :

Large, strong, masculine, well coloured and pigmented, firm, dry very expressive dog of pleasing type. Exemplary strength of head with a short strong muzzle, broad skull and well placed ears. The neck should be longer. High withers, firm back, slightly steep croup. Strong broad thighs. Slightly steep, slightly short upper arm, very good hindquarter angulation. Very good fore and under chest development. Stands and steps correctly front and rear, both hocks and elbows could be a little firmer. During movement he shows a far reaching powerful gait where the back remains firm. He was presented in excellent coat condition. He was lively, outgoing and confident at the survey and is gun sure.

Faults and Virtues :

A well coloured and pigmented, very masculine, expressive dog with praiseworthy structure of the head, who comes from a very good producing family, (Astasia Xcess has produced many Class I progeny) of which he is typical. Both the upper arm and croup should be a little better angled.

Breeding Advice :

Being typical of such a good family, he should be able to pass on his many attributes. There are no bloodline restrictions although care should be taken with regard to size and the angles of the croup and upper arm.
